How to 'keep on track and do anything'

The next unfolding chapter of this story began when..

...knowing that what I had been 'doing' over the past few years was changing emphasis in 2010 - I brought a 'Tablet'.  There was a specific job that I needed the Tablet to do. That job was to help me link in and keep on writing blog posts. The equipment used was to be light in weight while being manageable and small in size. What I found was that - what I wanted was not what I thought I could get. What I 'got' met the sales person immediate needs more so than mine.

When the time was right to tools were found.
As I was travelling often out from my home town my primary concern was to stay connected to what I was doing.  I brought the Tablet knowing I did not like using a 'phone' to write on. The tablet I was told would be better as it could be either  or both a phone and a 'type pad'.
Two points here -  the Tablet was incomplete to do the job I required as well as that the sales person told me it could perform. For instance I needed an internal 'chip' on which to store the photos other wise the camera was not going to work [of which it did not do.] The second point being - how to get the Tablet to do what I wanted it too was something out of my control.  I needed to take it to a specialized person in order to have an appropriate program 'opened' so that I could read my emails and blogs [lucky for me my home internet service provider was able to do this for me]. Further than that any other help was not going to be close by when I needed that specific help. In fact nearly three hundred kilometers from home I came across a really nice Optus store person who was able to show me some other things to assist me.  he also informed me that I had purchased the out of date model as the salespeople throughout had a quoter to fill the week of purchase.

Have you ever felt like this.  Wanting to do something, on hand with the tools, and no knowledge!?

What was involved?
Time moved on. The focus of the social media through writing the blogs had also altered. The emphasis still had the same main objective - creating situations that stimulate people to met their learning needs. The primary strategy of getting what is written, filmed, drawn, made etc out into the cyber world had taken on a deeper level of knowledge.

In itself this strategy was like sticking you toe into a droplet of water and finding out you actually drawn into a vortex where you were actually going deep sea diving. There were many more facets constantly being added to the original desire.  As an overview the following three will suffice in this instance;

  1. While  focusing just in one thing leads you into being 'trapped' while you specialize.
  2. Your voice being heard
    1. The Push / Pull effect not only involves 'promote the post everywhere' is a huge concept.
    2. I had found out about 'hot linking using sites with virtual pinboards.
    3. Social Media channelling involves funnels and such like.
  3. The technology behind all this occurring had changed so much from when I first started building a social media presence [ in 2003]  that older established sites had much to change and rectify. I was able to work cve4me's social media experience along the newer lines bring established.
All this the way to financing different projects brought new understanding behind different money making endeavours.  Take affiliate marketing - how could many people benefit from selling other or their own 'stuff' if I only was to sell for someone else.  Having over thirty years experience in multi-level markets and very nearly forty years experience in sales combined with 29 years with a growing family of our own I knew that by removing the  'middle man' so to speak would remove the just have to keep doing it mindset.  That this mindset effectively brakes down the family ties that as parents we all should value.

Where to from here
Yesterday when I was cleaning out a cupboard I found where I had placed the tablet.  Considering I had been going to give it away and no not replace it I am very glad that this was inadvertently saved as this tool needed looking into.  Acknowledged that: it was not the tools fault that I could not utilize it.  This was my fault.

Now is it not strange how things work? In order to build the above three categories I realized that -

  1. Knowledge of the tools was needed.
  2. Team creation was needed.
  3. A sound, deep, basis to work through was effectively being built.
  4. Parallel learning and team work meeting changing factions is a must.

All these are resulting in positive steps forward.  Statistically results are being mapped and the impacts are there.

Even better through one of the YouTube followers Mohammed has walked through an Android Tutorial "Guide for tablets". All it takes now is a few more trips away from home via public transport or private cars.  Now instead of reading a book the opportunities of catching up with the emails are boundless.  I not longer have to scroll through 5000 odd emails and dismiss most of them - or sort / file and read later... hopefully read them later.  With the correct tool for the job effectively leaving home for a break is not going to cripple me on the return.  Instead by keeping up to date opportunities are presenting themselves.

In conclusion
The old saying is right- with the desired incentives you can a) keep on track and b) do anything  --> with the right tools !! .
